When using the Grammarly Editor, you can create a document by clicking the New button. If you want to check an existing document on your computer, click Upload:
Another option for importing existing text is to create a blank document, then paste in text from your clipboard.
Note: If you use this option, some of your document’s original formatting may be lost. Visit this page to find out more: Preserve text formatting.
When you finish editing, you can download your document by clicking the Menu icon () in the upper-left corner and selecting Download:
If you started by uploading a document file, Grammarly will export your document in the same file format that you began with. For example, if you started by uploading a .docx file, your Grammarly document will be available to download as a .docx file.
Exception: If you upload a .txt file, it will be exported as a .docx file.
