If you try to uninstall Superhuman Go for Mac, a message may appear saying you can’t delete the program while it’s running: “The item “Superhuman Go” can’t be moved to the Bin because it’s open.”
In that case, make sure you quit Superhuman Go via your system menu bar before trying to uninstall it. To do that, click the Superhuman icon in the upper-right corner of your screen, select Superhuman Go, and click Quit:
If you’re on macOS 11 Big Sur, click the Superhuman icon and select Quit right away.
If this doesn’t help, follow these steps:
- Click the Superhuman icon in the upper-right corner of your screen, select Superhuman Go, and choose Settings…
- If you’re on macOS 11 Big Sur, click the Superhuman icon and select Settings right away.
In the Customization tab, switch off Launch at startup:
Restart your computer and make sure that you choose not to reopen all apps after restart:
Then, try uninstalling Superhuman Go. If you’re on macOS 12 Monterey or later, follow these steps:
Click the Superhuman icon in the menu bar and select Open Superhuman:
- In the window that opens, click on the three-dot icon (···) next to Superhuman Go and select Uninstall.
- Alternatively, go to Finder → Applications, find Superhuman Go in the application list, and move it to Trash (or Bin).
If you’re on macOS 11 Big Sur, follow these steps instead:
- Go to Finder → Applications.
- Find Superhuman Go on the list and move it to Trash (or Bin).
