Error logs are typically requested by our Support team when there is a technical issue with Superhuman Go for Windows and Mac. To collect error logs, follow the instructions below for your operating system.
Note: While collecting error logs, ensure that you agree to record a video of your screen when prompted.
If you’re experiencing an issue with accessing your account, continue with the steps below, as Superhuman Go for Windows logs can still be collected.
Start recording the error logs: Click the Superhuman icon in the system tray (in the lower-right corner of your screen), then select Go → Report Issue.
- Follow the prompts that appear next: Click Collect logs → Yes, collect log.
When prompted, click Start recording.
- A browser tab will open, prompting you to record your screen. Select Record → Entire screen → Share.
Note: If you opt out of recording a video, our Customer Care team may have to request that you record the video and logs again to further investigate the problem. - Reproduce the issue you’re experiencing.
- Finish the screen recording: Return to the screen recording window, click Stop, and copy the link to the recording.
- Finish the log collection process: Return to the Superhuman Go log collection window and click Continue. You will see a confirmation that logs have been collected. Fill in the required fields:
- Specify the name of an app or website: The app(s) or website(s) where you were typing while reproducing the issue.
- Title: You can add your support request number here.
Description: Add the link to the screen recording you copied in Step 6.
- Click Report issue. A new support ticket will be created automatically, with the logs and video link attached.
Note: The file with the error logs may contain the text you’ve typed or the name of the application you’ve opened. We recommend that you do not type sensitive information while collecting error logs.
Start recording the error logs: Click the Superhuman icon in the menu bar and select Superhuman Go → Report issue.
