How do I clear cache and cookies?

To delete cookies for one website:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Copy-paste the following text into your browser's address bar: chrome://settings/siteData
  3. Type Grammarly in the search field.
  4. Click Remove all Shown.

To delete all cookies:

  1. Copy-paste the following text into your browser's address bar: chrome://settings/siteData
  2. Set Time range to All time
  3. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files 
  4. Click Clear Data.

Note: Be sure to back up your saved passwords and bookmarks first!

To delete cookies for one website:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Copy-paste the following line into your browser's address bar: about:preferences#privacy
  3. Locate the Cookies and Site Data section and click Manage Data
  4. In the Search field, type Grammarly and press Enter (Return)
  5. Click Remove All Shown, then click Save Changes and OK if prompted

To delete all cookies:

Either open the Cookies window as explained above and use the Remove All Cookies button, or else do the following:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Copy-paste the following line into your browser's address bar: about:preferences#privacy
  3. Locate the Cookies and Site Data section and click Clear Data
  4. Select Cookies and Site Data and click Clear

To clear the Firefox cache:

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Copy-paste the following line into your browser's address bar: about:preferences#privacy
  3. Locate the Cookies and Site Data section and click Clear Data
  4. Select Cached Web Content and click Clear 
  1. Open Safari.
  2. Choose Safari > Preferences.
  3. Click Privacy.
  4. Select Manage Website Data...
  5. Click Remove All.

Removing the data may reduce tracking, but may also log you out of websites or change website behavior. To see which websites store cookies or data, click Details.

To delete cookies for one website:

  1. Open the Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools > Internet options.
  3. Select Settings in the Browsing history section.
  4. Click View files.
  5. Type Grammarly in the search field.
  6. Select all files by pressing Ctrl + A and delete them by pressing Shift + Delete.

To clear cache in Internet Explorer 11:

Review and follow the instructions in this article, selecting your browser version from the drop-down in the top-right corner.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click More options (the  symbol) in the top right corner of your browser.
  3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click Choose what to clear under Clear browsing data.
  5. Check Cookies and saved website data (and any other data you might want to delete), then click Clear.

Tip: If web pages aren’t displaying correctly, you can try using your browser’s incognito or “private browsing” mode to see if the problem is caused by something other than cache or cookies.
