Why was I charged during a free trial?

If you signed up for a free seven-day trial of Grammarly Business, you will not be charged before the free trial ends.

If your free trial hasn't ended yet, but you're seeing a pending transaction on your credit card statement, it is most likely a verification charge. This transaction is meant for validation of both your card and our ability to transact against it for your Grammarly Business subscription. It is only temporary and will appear as “Pending” on your statement. Later, it will either be removed, if you cancel your subscription, or replaced by the actual charge for your Business subscription, if you choose to proceed with it.

If you'd like to cancel your subscription to prevent any scheduled payments, please follow the steps outlined in this article.

In case of any doubts, please feel free to submit a support request.
