Superhuman Platform user guide

The Superhuman Platform is the desktop launcher for your Superhuman apps. It’s the one place to open, install, update, and manage everything in the Superhuman suite.

The Superhuman Platform installs automatically when you download any Superhuman desktop app (such as Superhuman Go) from superhuman.com. Once installed, it runs quietly in the background so your apps stay up to date and ready to launch.

This article covers the following topics:

Opening the Superhuman Platform

You can open the Superhuman Platform from the system tray (Windows) or menu bar (macOS). Look for the Superhuman icon there.

On Windows
On Mac

Once the Superhuman Platform is installed, this single icon replaces the individual icons for your Superhuman apps. You can manage all your installed apps from here.

To open the main Superhuman Platform window, click Open Superhuman from the menu.

Note: The Superhuman Platform stays in your system tray or menu bar, so your apps can update in the background.

Signing in

If you’re signed out, you’ll see a Sign in to continue prompt when you open the Superhuman Platform:

Click Continue to sign in to open the Superhuman sign-in page in your browser. You can sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or your work or school email address.

Installing a Superhuman app

If a Superhuman app is available to install, you’ll see it listed in the main window with an Install button next to it:

To install the app, click Install next to it. The Superhuman Platform will download and install it automatically. Once it’s complete, you’ll see a confirmation at the bottom of the window:

Launching an installed app

Installed Superhuman applications automatically start with the Superhuman Platform.

Note: If the Launch at startup option is turned off in the settings, Superhuman Go must be launched manually.

To open an installed app, click Open next to its name in the main Superhuman Platform window:

You can also open installed Superhuman applications directly from your computer.

Managing installed apps from the menu

The Superhuman Platform menu gives you quick access to your installed apps without opening the main window. Click the Superhuman icon in your system tray or menu bar, then click an app’s name to open its submenu.

On Windows
On Mac

From an app’s submenu, you can:

  • Open the app
  • Access the app’s settings
  • Give feedback or report an issue specific to that app
  • Quit the app

Checking app status

Each installed app shows its current status next to its name:

  • Up to date and running: The app is installed and active.
  • Not running: The app is installed, but isn’t currently active. Click Open to launch it.
  • Installation stopped: The app installation was manually canceled.

Uninstalling an app

To uninstall a Superhuman app, click the three-dot menu (···) next to the app’s name in the main window and select Uninstall.

Managing your profile

To view or manage your Superhuman account, click Profile in the lower-left corner of the main window. This opens your Superhuman account settings in your browser.

The lower-left corner also shows the email address you’re signed in with and your current Superhuman Platform version.

Giving feedback or reporting an issue

To share feedback or report a problem with the Superhuman Platform or one of your Superhuman apps, click the Superhuman icon in your system tray or menu bar and select Give Feedback or Report an Issue.
