Superhuman Go for Windows and Mac is a proactive AI assistant that works alongside you across your applications, understanding what you’re working on and stepping in with the right support at the right time. It brings AI directly into your workflow, so you can stay focused without switching tools or losing momentum.
Note: Before installing Superhuman Go for Windows or Superhuman Go for Mac, make sure your computer meets the system requirements for this app.
Checking text
After installing Superhuman Go for Windows, open any application or website and start typing. Superhuman Go will highlight areas for suggested improvements with underlines and display a Superhuman Go tab on the right edge of your screen.
To review suggestions, click the Superhuman Go tab on the right side of your screen and select Review suggestions:
Alternatively, you can review suggestions by clicking See more in Proofreader on any suggestion card:
You can also type your prompt directly in the “Ask Go” message box. Go will use the context from your active window to tailor its response.
You can ask Go for:
- Content generation (emails, summaries, blog drafts, etc.)
- Feedback or suggestions
- Help with rewriting, tone adjustments, and clarity
Note: You can use up to 1,000 prompts per day. If you reach this limit, Go will reset the next day.
To use preset quick prompts, select the text you’d like to improve, click the blue sidebar that appears on the left, and select one of the options available at the top of the suggestion card:
You can also type a custom prompt by selecting Revise with AI. To use the generated text, click Accept.
Moving the Superhuman Go tab
The Superhuman Go tab can be repositioned vertically along the edge of your screen to suit your preferences.
Using the plagiarism checker
Currently, the plagiarism checker and AI detector features are available in Superhuman Go for Windows only in Microsoft Word.
To review your text for plagiarism, open the Authorship thumbprint in the lower-left corner of any Microsoft Word document and select Check for AI & plagiarism.
Deactivating certain suggestion types
Note: This feature is available only with Superhuman Pro or Business, and Grammarly Pro, Business, Plus, and Grammarly for Education plans.
Certain types of suggestions can be turned off. To do that, open your browser, go to Your preferences page, and switch off a specific group of suggestions. Doing so will deactivate this group of suggestions across all Superhuman product offerings you use.
Changing your language preference
Superhuman Go offers five dialect options: British English, American English, Canadian English, Australian English, and Indian English. Your language preference is set to American English by default.
To change it in Superhuman Go for Windows:
- Click the Superhuman icon in the system tray and select Go → Settings.
- Under the Customization tab, select your preferred option next to I write in.
Alternatively, you can change your language preference on the Language settings page.
Note: Updating your language preference in your account settings will apply it to all Superhuman product offerings you use.

Managing your account settings
Some of your account settings are available directly within Superhuman Go for Windows. To access them, click the Superhuman icon in the system tray and select Go → Settings.
Alternatively, right-click the Superhuman Go tab on the right side of your screen and select Settings.
In this menu, you can:
- Access your account settings
- Manage your language preference
- View applications where Superhuman Go was turned off
- Update your writing style

To hide the Superhuman Go tab while continuing to see inline underlines:
- Click the Superhuman icon in the menu bar.
- Select Superhuman Go → Turn off Superhuman Go tab.
Note: When the Superhuman Go tab is hidden, you will still see in-line underlines and can access the revision assistant by clicking See more in Proofreader on a suggestion card.
To deactivate Superhuman Go temporarily on a specific website or application:
- Click the Superhuman icon in the menu bar.
- Select Superhuman Go and choose Turn off Superhuman Go for 1 hour or Turn off Superhuman Go.
To manage blocked applications or sites, navigate to Settings → Block List, where you can remove previously added items.
Using the plagiarism checker
The plagiarism checker and AI detector features are available in Superhuman Go for Mac only in Microsoft Word.
