With Grammarly for Windows and Mac, you can choose which apps you’d prefer Grammarly not to initialize in.
If you’d like to prevent Grammarly from checking text on a specific website or application, follow these steps:
- Place your cursor in a text field in the app or on the website where you’d like to turn off Grammarly.
If you use Grammarly for Windows, right-click the floating Grammarly widget. If AI Chat is turned on, right-click the Grammarly tab instead:
If you use Grammarly for Mac, click on the Grammarly icon in the menu bar:
- Choose Turn off Grammarly or Turn off Grammarly for 1 hour.
To manage blocked applications or websites, navigate to Settings → Block list, where you can remove previously added items.
