The AI Rewriter agent identifies words and phrases that AI often uses, and which can also appear in human writing. It suggests alternatives that AI uses less frequently. Grammarly’s AI Rewriter agent aims to educate students on commonly flagged phrases or words and allow them to rewrite within docs, our new AI writing surface.
Availability
The AI Rewriter agent is available in docs for Grammarly Pro and Plus subscribers. We’re rolling out AI Rewriter gradually to ensure the best user experience.
How to use
To scan your text for common AI phrases, launch the AI Rewriter agent by clicking its icon on the agents tab on the right side:
The highlighted sections will be divided into the following categories:
- All AI phrases
- Almost always AI
- Usually AI
- Sometimes AI
To rewrite your text so it contains a version that AI uses less often, hover over the corresponding bar appearing on the left side of your text:
The AI Rewriter agent will suggest several options, which you can either accept or dismiss.
