Streamlined joining methods for subscriptions purchased through the Sales team

Admins of subscriptions purchased through the Sales team can streamline team management and enhance collaboration by enabling their team members who already use Grammarly individually to discover and seamlessly join their organization’s subscription.

Additionally, admins of eligible subscriptions can see team members who are already using Grammarly individually and instantly invite them to their organization’s account.

Allow team members to discover and join your organization’s account

Team members who have individual Grammarly accounts registered using your organizational domain can now discover your organization’s subscription and either join it instantly or request to join it, depending on whether they are assigned access to Grammarly in your identity provider.

This option is activated by default for eligible accounts that use SAML single sign-on (SSO). If you’d like to turn it off, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Invite Settings page.
2. Select Only invited colleagues can join your account.

To reactivate this option, select Anyone with the domain @... can automatically join.

If your organization does not use SSO, you can still enable your team members to join your organization’s subscription instantly or request to join it, depending on your invite settings. Learn more in this article: How to automatically join or send a request to join a team plan

Review membership requests

Team members who are not yet assigned access to Grammarly in your organization’s identity provider won’t be able to join instantly, but can request to join through their Grammarly account instead.

To review membership requests:

1. Go to the Members page.
2. Select the Membership requests tab at the top. 
3. From there, navigate to your identity provider to grant your team members access, or reject their membership requests by clicking Decline next to them.

Note: Membership requests are automatically canceled if no action is taken within 30 days.

See who else is using Grammarly and instantly invite them to your organization’s account

In addition to allowing your team members to independently join your organization’s account, you can proactively review a list of people already using Grammarly, sorted by engagement, and instantly invite them.

To do that, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Members page.
2. Click Invite members in the upper-right corner.
3. In the next window, see the members listed under Add members already using Grammarly.
4. To invite team members, check the boxes next to their accounts and click Invite members.

Note: If your organization uses SAML single sign-on, please ensure that invited members are also assigned access to Grammarly in your identity provider.

If you have SCIM provisioning enabled, you’ll see a banner with suggested members at the top of the Members page instead. You can instantly invite members by clicking the plus icon (+) next to their name, or click See more to see all suggested members.

Team members who have individual Grammarly Free or Pro accounts without any documents stored on their accounts will instantly be added to your organization’s account after being invited. Members of other team accounts or anyone with documents stored on their accounts will instead receive invitation emails to join your organization’s account.
