When you’re using the Grammarly Keyboard for Android, you can activate the voice typing option. To do that, follow the steps below:
- Open the Grammarly Keyboard in any app.
- Tap the dictation button in the lower-left corner of the keyboard.
- Tap the status bar notification to allow permission for voice typing.
- Allow access to the microphone in your system settings.
If you have added languages other than English to your Grammarly Keyboard, you may not see the dictation button initially. To ensure it appears, open the Grammarly companion app on your Android device, tap Keyboard, and turn on Switch languages on spacebar.
The globe icon should then disappear from the Grammarly Keyboard, and you will be able to use the dictation feature by tapping and holding the comma key to the left of the spacebar.
Note: At this time, Grammarly's writing suggestions are available for the English language only.
