Admins occupy seats in the subscription they manage because they are counted as active subscription members. Additionally, only members who occupy paid seats can be assigned the admin role.

If you’re the owner of a Grammarly Pro or Plus plan, you can transfer plan ownership to another member and leave the team account. To do that, follow the steps from this article: How to transfer Grammarly Pro plan ownership
Note: The option to change the owner is available only in Grammarly Pro and Plus plans. In Grammarly Business, Enterprise, and Grammarly for Education subscriptions, account ownership is held by team members with the admin role.
