I see “Grammarly Editor is loading”

If you see this error message, please temporarily disable your VPN, antivirus and firewall software. If that helps, please add Grammarly to the software’s whitelist. 

If you’re using Grammarly in a corporate environment and you cannot disable your antivirus and firewall software or add Grammarly to this software’s whitelist, please ask your IT administrator to do that.

Note: Grammarly’s desktop app for Windows doesn’t currently support proxy, so if you're using a proxy, please try disabling it and let us know if that doesn't help. If you are not sure whether you use a proxy, please follow these steps: 

  1. Right-click on the Start button and click Control Panel
  2. In the Control Panel window, select Internet Options
  3. In the Internet Options window, go to the Connections tab and click the LAN Settings button
  4. If Use a proxy server for your LAN is not checked, it means that you don't use a proxy server
