Note: If you’ve activated Superhuman Go, you’ll see the Superhuman logo or tab instead of the Grammarly ones. Grammarly is now part of Superhuman. Learn more in this article: Becoming Superhuman
Here’s what Grammarly (first image) and Superhuman Go (second image) look like in your browser:
- Type chrome://extensions into the address bar
- Toggle the switch next to Developer mode in the upper-right corner
- Click the Update button at the top of the page
- Restart the browser by quitting and reopening
- Type about:addons into the address bar at the top of your screen

Under Grammarly for Firefox, select Manage:
- Scroll to the bottom and set Automatic Updates to On
- Restart the browser by quitting and reopening
If you would like to reinstall the extension, please follow the instructions below:
- Open Safari.
- Click the Safari tab > Settings... > Extensions.
- Uncheck the Enabled box to switch off the extension.
- Go to Finder > Applications.
- Right-click Grammarly for Safari and select Move to Trash or Move to Bin from the dropdown menu. If prompted, enter the password to your computer to confirm the deletion.

To make sure you are using the up-to-date version going forward, please go to App Store > Preferences. Then, make sure that the Automatic Updates setting is switched on.
- Type edge://extensions/ into the address bar
- Toggle the switch next to Developer mode in the lower-left corner
- Click the Update button at the top of the page
- Restart the browser by quitting and reopening
If your browser is managed by your IT department, or if you are an IT administrator, please make sure that you've switched on automatic updates for Grammarly in your browser. This will help avoid any interruption of service due to browser updates in the future.
