Introducing Voice Composer

Voice Composer is a new feature in Grammarly for iPhone and iPad that greatly enhances your writing process. Utilizing advanced speech recognition and generative AI technologies, it can convert casual, conversational speech into polished text.

It goes beyond mere transcription; Voice Composer also helps spur creativity and overcome writer's block. Users can simply give a short verbal prompt, like “Write a blog about the Grammarly Keyboard for iOS,” and Voice Composer will generate a relevant draft.

This article covers the following topics:

What can Voice Composer do?

Transform speech into polished writing

Speak naturally, and let your thoughts flow, and Voice Composer will handle the refinement. This tool automatically removes unnecessary filler words such as "ah" and "um" from your text, resulting in polished and fluent output that is ready to share. This can eliminate the need for you to spend extra time and effort editing your text.

Transcribe with an AI co-creator

Voice Composer can also create detailed written content from brief spoken prompts. For example, if you need to advise your colleague Beth on client prospecting emails, simply say, "Write a note to Beth with best practices for client prospecting emails." Within moments, Voice Composer presents a comprehensive draft with all the key points. This feature empowers you to bypass brainstorming, planning, and typing, letting you quickly move on to other tasks without compromising the quality of your message.
