This issue might occur if you unintentionally created two Grammarly accounts (one free and one Premium) and logged in to your free account. To access Grammarly Premium features, please follow these steps according to the Grammarly product offering where the issue occurs:
Grammarly for Windows
- Ensure that you are signed out of all Grammarly accounts by going tohttps://app.grammarly.com and clicking Log out in the left-side panel.
- Right-click on the white Grammarly icon in the system tray and select Settings:
- In the window that opens next, go to Account and click Sign out.
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means your Premium account is associated with that email.
- Click Sign in in the same window.
- You will then be redirected to a page where you’ll have to enter the login credentials for your Premium account.
Grammarly for Mac
- Ensure that you are signed out of all Grammarly accounts by going to https://app.grammarly.com and clicking Log out in the left-side panel.
- Click on the Grammarly icon in the menu bar and select Settings:
- Go to Account and click Sign out.
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means your Premium account is associated with that email.
- Then, click Sign in and enter the login credentials for your Premium account.
Grammarly browser extension or the Grammarly Editor
- Sign out of all Grammarly accounts by going to https://app.grammarly.com/ and clicking Log out in the left-side panel.
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means your Premium account is associated with that email.
- Click Log in at https://www.grammarly.com/ and log in using the credentials for your Premium account. If you registered using Google, Facebook, or Apple, sign in by clicking the corresponding option.
The Grammarly Keyboard or Grammarly for iPad
- Open the Grammarly app on your mobile device
- Click Account > Log out
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means you have a Premium account associated with that email.
- To log back in, select Log in to existing account if you registered using an email and password type of authorization. If you registered using Google, Facebook, or Apple, select the corresponding option.
The Grammarly Editor for Windows and Mac
- Open Grammarly’s desktop app and click Log out in the left-side pane.
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means your Premium account is associated with that email.
- Sign back in using the email address associated with your Premium account. If you registered using Google, Facebook, or Apple, sign in by clicking the corresponding option.
Grammarly for Microsoft Office
- Ensure that you are signed out of all Grammarly accounts by going tohttps://app.grammarly.com and clicking Log out in the left-side panel.
- Open the Grammarly tab in Microsoft Word or Outlook and click Log out:
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means you have a Premium account associated with that email.
- Click Log in in the same menu.
- Sign in by entering the correct email address that is associated with your Premium account and password. If you registered using Google, Facebook or Apple, sign in by clicking the corresponding option.
Grammarly for Microsoft Word on Mac
- Ensure that you are signed out of all Grammarly accounts by going tohttps://app.grammarly.com and clicking Log out in the left-side panel.
- Click the gear icon in the lower right corner of the Grammarly sidebar and choose Log out:
- Search every email account you use for the words Nice Upgrade! Here’s Your Receipt & Renewal Information or Your Grammarly Account Is Now Activated! to find the confirmation email we sent you. If you see it in your inbox, that means you have a Premium account associated with that email.
- Click Log in in the sidebar using the email address associated with your Premium account. If you registered using Google, Facebook, or Apple, sign in by clicking the corresponding option.
