The Grammarly Editor is supported on Google Chrome 57+, Safari 10+, Firefox 52+, and Microsoft Edge 14+ (including the new version based on Chromium).
Note: You may also use Internet Explorer version 11+ to access the Grammarly Editor at https://app.grammarly.com; however, Grammarly works best with the other browsers.
Grammarly offers a free browser extension for Google Chrome 51, Safari 10, Firefox 54, and Microsoft Edge 14.
Note: Grammarly works best with the latest stable versions of each browser; therefore, we suggest you update your browsers regularly.
The following system requirements must be met to operate Grammarly for Microsoft Office on Windows:
- Compatible operating systems: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10.
- Microsoft Office: 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, or 2019.
Also, Grammarly for Microsoft Office can be used with an Office 365 subscription as long as your plan provides one of the supported Microsoft Office versions.
Note: Grammarly does not work with the Starter version of Office, with Vista, or with XP. The add-in supports Microsoft Word on both Mac and Windows computers. Microsoft Outlook is supported on Windows only. PowerPoint and Excel are not supported.
In order to run Grammarly for Microsoft Word on Mac, your computer must have a compatible version of Microsoft Office (version 16 or higher).
To check the version, please open Word, choose the Word menu, and click About Microsoft Word.
Note: Microsoft Outlook for Mac is not currently supported.
The following system requirements must be met to install and operate Grammarly’s desktop app on your computer:

For Mac: macOS 10.9 and higher.

You can install the Grammarly Keyboard for iOS to ensure everything you write on your mobile device is mistake-free. We support all iOS devices running iOS 9.3 or newer, which means we support all iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch models.
If you're using Android, you can install the Grammarly Keyboard by following these steps. We support all Android devices running the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) operating system or newer.
Grammarly for iPad is compatible with iPads running iOS 11.2 or newer, except for iPad Mini models.
