How to record a video of a technical issue I’m experiencing

1. Open the Screenshot toolbar by pressing these three keys together: Shift, Cmd, and 5. 
   
2. You will see onscreen controls for recording the entire screen, recording a selected portion of the screen, or capturing a still image of your screen:
   
   
3. Select the Record Entire Screen option:
4. Press the Record button to start recording:
   
   
5. Reproduce the issue you’re experiencing.
6. Stop the recording by clicking the Stop button in the menu bar at the top of your screen. 
7. Find the video in your Desktop folder and share it with the Grammarly Support team.

Note: If the video is over 20 MB, you will need to share the file via cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive).

1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com
2. At the top left, click New > File Upload or Folder Upload.
3. Choose the file or folder you want to upload.
4. Right-click the uploaded file and select Share: 
   
   
5. Under General access, click Restricted and select Anyone with the link: 
   
   
6. Click Copy link and share the video with our Support team. 

1. Press Shift+Ctrl+Show windows:
2. In the menu at the bottom, select Screen record:
3. Click Record the full screen:
4. Reproduce the issue you’re experiencing.
5. To stop recording, at the bottom right, select Stop recording:
6. Find your recording in your Downloads folder and share it with the Grammarly Support team.

Note: If the video is over 20 MB, you will need to share it via cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive).

2. At the top left, click New > File Upload or Folder Upload.
3. Choose the file or folder you want to upload.
4. Right-click the uploaded file and select Share: 
   
   
5. Under General access, click Restricted and select Anyone with the link: 
   
   
6. Click Copy link and share the video with our Support team. 

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R to start recording.
2. A red circle will appear in the upper-right corner of your screen while the recording is in progress.
3. Reproduce the issue you’re experiencing.
4. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R again to stop the recording.
5. Find the newly recorded video in your Home > Videos folder and share it with our Support team. If there’s no Videos folder, look for the video in your Home folder instead.

Note: If the video is over 20 MB, you will need to share it via cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive).

1. Open the Google Play Store, enter “screen recorder” in the search bar, and download your preferred screen-recording app. 
2. Open the downloaded app and record the issue you’re experiencing.
3. Save the video on your device and send it to our Support team.

Note: If the video is over 20 MB, you will need to share the file via cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive).

1. On your Android device, open the Google Drive app.
2. Tap Add:
3. Tap Upload:
   
   
4. Find and tap the recording you want to upload.
5. Next to the name of the file that you’ve just uploaded, tap More:
6. Tap Share.
7. Under Manage access, select Not shared:
   
   
8. Under General access, tap Change:
   
   
9. Select Anyone with the link.
10. Click Copy link and share the video with the Grammarly Support team.

1. Open Settings and tap on Control Center > Customize Controls.
2. Find Screen Recording in the list and tap on the + button beside it.
3. Once added, you can leave the Control Center.
4. Now, if you swipe down from the upper-right corner of the display to access the Control Center, you will see the new Screen Recording button appear (it's a circle with a dot inside it).
5. Tap the recording icon to start the screen recording.
6. Following a three-second countdown, everything on-screen will be recorded.
7. While you are recording, there will be a red bar at the top of the screen.
8. When you have finished recording, tap on the red bar (or if that doesn't register, swipe down and then press the Record button in Control Center again).
9. Tap on Stop.
10. Your screen recording video will be saved in Photos, where you can edit the video if you wish.
11. Share the video with our Support team.

Note: If the video is over 20 MB, you will need to share it via cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.).

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Drive app.
2. Tap Add:
3. Tap Upload:
   
4. Find and tap the recording you want to upload.
5. Next to the name of the file that you’ve just uploaded, tap More:
6. Tap Share.
7. Under Manage access, select Not shared:
   
   
8. Under General access, tap Change:
   
   
9. Select Anyone with the link.
10. Click Copy link and share the video with the Grammarly Support team.
