Administrator July 12, 2010 47 Usage Tips

Short manual:

1. Login to Grammarly using your authorization data.

2. Once you login, please copy your text and paste it into Grammarly  (click Paste on Grammarly toolbar; use CTRL-C, CTRL-V combination).

3. Click the "Start Review" button to check the text.

4. Once the text is analyzed, Grammarly will show your text with different types of alerts highlighted. You can see a high-level report summarizing your errors by clicking on the Summary link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. To see individual error explanations and suggestions, click on the tabs with blue circles on the right side of the page.

5. You can change the highlighted alerts by clicking on the actual alert and on suggested replacements in the right box, which will appear.

6. Once you are done with Alerts, Grammarly will offer you to review the warnings. A warning can be corrected by paraphrasing the sentence or a part of it.

7. Once you have finished your corrections, please click
"Synonyms" to begin enhancing your text. Grammarly will offer a number of suggestions (synonyms and word insertions) that will enhance the quality of your document with clear, compelling and sophisticated wording. These changes can be made the same way as with the alerts (click on your preferred suggestion).

Please note that not all suggestions need to be implemented -- you can decide which suggestions best complement your writing style.
