I uploaded my text, but I can't see any buttons to start the proofing. I paid for this??? Is there a monthly limit on stuff to proofread. Like five or something?

Dear Mr. Campbell,

Per one check the programme can analyze up to 20 pages. The amount of checks you can perform is limitless.

Please click on "Start Review" button to start the analysis of your text. Also may I suggest taking a look at the following: http://grammarly.zendesk.com/entries/212482-usage-manual

Dear Ms. Almada,

You have full (paid) version of Grammarly thus you should be able to view the alerts and suggestions.

Once the text is analyzed, Grammarly will show your text with different types of alerts highlighted. You can see a high-level report summarizing your errors by clicking on the Summary link in the upper right-hand corner of the page. To see individual error explanations and suggestions, click on the tabs with blue circles on the right side of the page. You can change the highlighted alerts by clicking on the actual alert and on suggested replacements in the right box, which will appear.

I am using a MAC and I have Word MAC 2008 and can not download Microsoft Office Add-In . This is not helpful and very inconvenient while trying to edit my paper and put citations in paper and in reference list. Do you have any suggestions other than what I have read in other posts that you are working on the problem and it will be rectified this summer. We are about to enter into the month of July 2011!

i am trying out the grammarly for the first time. i am doing the proof-reading through the Word and was directed into a new browser page. However, can the corrected grammer automatically changed in the Word file? or we must do the corrections manually one by one in the original file?

Dear Goh,

May I suggest retrieving your checked text and saving it in Word using copy-pasting method.

Academic documents with footnotes are not properly loading onto Grammarly and hence after reviewing, due to format alteration cannot be used.

Dear David,

Our new Add-In version is now available. May I suggest checking your texts using this feature?

Grammarly Microsoft add-in copies and sends your text to Grammarly editor box. If you use the Add-In you will not experience the format alteration.

I am a paying subscriber using Office 2003 with all updates + service packs installed. I cannot get the Office Add-in to show up in the menu. How can I resolve this issue? Copy and paster messes with my formatting which includes in-line footnotes + citations.

Dear Greg,

Please see what version of MS Office you have - 32 or 64-bit:
Open Microsoft Word, then click on the File Tab > Help and look under "About Microsoft Word" to view the version installed.

A:) If you have a 64-bit version of MS Office, please wait a few days. We're going to release a 64-bit installer within a week.

B:) If you have a 32-bit Office:

1. Uninstall your current version of Grammarly Add-In (via Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs)

2. Download the latest version from http://www.grammarly.com/desktop/ and follow the instructions of that page to install it.

3. Open any text document in MS Word, find Grammarly's Check button in the toolbar and press Check

4. Enter your Grammarly account e-mail and password if prompted

5. You should see the Grammarly sidebar with four tabs: Grammar, Spelling, Synonyms and Plagiarism. It should say Checking... and then
start displaying suggestions.

If any of these steps fails, please tell us which one and send us a screenshot if you can. That would really help us investigate possible
issues.

In case of any other questions, please write to us at support@grammarly.com. We will be happy to assist you!

I have a 170 page document I want to check. Can I check on selection at a time? If I cut and paste it into the Grammarly window then I lose my footnotes. I need it to work inside Word but Grammarly seems to want to check my whole document instead of just a certain selection...
